From 1999 to 2007 gross sales exceeded $350 million in cumulative land sales for Port Blakely Communities, developers of Issaquah Highlands. As Vice President of Residential Development (until March, 2007) I was responsible for all aspects of residential development in Issaquah Highlands, positioning this unique master planned community to be the #1 selling community in Puget Sound. I have also overseen construction operations for both housing and land development in a multi-state environment with direct bottom line responsibility of 10,500 homes and apartments built over a period extending 33 years. This includes serving as Vice President of Construction for Del Webb Corporation, building 825 homes per year at their Sun City Las Vegas community.
I have been recognized for my contribution in promoting sustainable development and in 2006 received the first "Pioneer" award for Built Green from the Master Builders of King and Snohomish County. From 2002 to 2008 I served on the Built Green Executive Committee, positioning this organization to have broad market success and acceptance with builders and developers in the region. I was co-creator of the Built Green "Idea" Home which is considered by many to be the key launching milestone for Built Green in the Puget Sound region. I am an advocate of low impact development and sustainable building practices and recently completed my "Green Designation" professional certification by the National Association of Realtors.
